On Sunday, November 6, 2022, VLC gathered in person which was also broadcasted online via YouTube. Today, Pastor Stuart Nice continued leading us in exploring the pattern of prayer Jesus gave us when he taught his disciples to pray. The statement, “hallowed by your name,” is an invitation to worship God who is holy above all others, yet calls us to an intimate relationship that also desires us to be holy as the Lord is holy.
1) Submission:
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
2) Petition:
Give us today our daily bread.
3) Relational Alignment:
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
4) Battle:
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
5) Rest:
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’”
