Entering the Mission of God: Renewing Our Pattern of Prayer, Part 4: Matthew 6:9-13

On Sunday, November 13, 2022, VLC gathered in person which was also broadcasted online via YouTube. Today, Pastor Stuart Nice continued leading us in exploring the pattern of prayer Jesus gave us when he taught his disciples to pray. The statements, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” is an invitation to partner with God in the mission to see God’s kingdom expand by being light and love in the world, bringing a glimpse of heaven down to earth.

1) Submission:
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
2) Petition:
Give us today our daily bread.
3) Relational Alignment:
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
4) Battle:
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
5) Rest:
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’”
