Renewing Our Pattern of Prayer, Part 2: Matthew 6:9-13

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, VLC gathered in person which was also broadcasted online via YouTube. Today, Pastor Stuart Nice led us in exploring the pattern of prayer Jesus gave us when he taught his disciples to pray, starting with submission as a relational posture before God and a prerequisite to life-changing prayer.

1) Submission:
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
2) Petition:
Give us today our daily bread.
3) Relational Alignment:
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
4) Battle:
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
5) Rest:
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’”
