In the message for Sunday, February 2, 2020, Pastor Stuart Nice shares with us some principles to help maintain and prioritize our focus on Jesus above all things. He is calling to us to simply sit at His feet and listen.

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”  “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.

The Joy of Christmas

In the message for Sunday, December 22, 2019 Pastor Stuart Nice shares with us about the true joy of Christmas. The people had been expecting their Messiah but were not expecting His arrival would be so… ordinary. But that is the message of the Gospel, that God became man and lived a perfect life and sacrificed His life to save our sins. There is nothing we can do to earn this, it is a gift we freely receive.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

Luke 2:8-12 (NIV)
