On Sunday, November 10, 2024, VLC gathered in person and also broadcasted online via YouTube. Brook Fonceca shared a message from Philippians where the Apostle Paul declares that he is embracing God’s calling on his life by pursuing it with all his heart. From this, Brook encouraged us to align our perspective with God’s in regard to our calling, realizing that whatever situation we find ourselves in, we are found in Christ, we are reflections of God’s love in Christ, and we bring a glimpse of heaven to earth as we love God by loving one another.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
